The basic service is absolutely free but you can use the premium version for a fee. It provides you the track visitors form referrals, direct or from search engines and direct visits. Basically you can check that from which country or city is someone viewing your website, by using which type of web browser, internet service provider etc.
Step-wise Tutorial : How to Add Google Analytics to Blogger
Step 1 : Go to Google Analytics.
Step 2 : Now sign in with your Gmail Account.
Step 3 : Click on Sign Up button.
Step 4 : Now select Universal Analytics or Classic Analytics
Step 5 : Now fill the details such as; Website Name, Website URL, Select the industry type (if not sure select Other) and now select your Reporting Time Zone.
Now fill a name in Account Name and click on Get Tracking ID
Step 6 : Now select your country/region of residence in Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement. Read it and click on I Accept.
Step 7 : Copy the Tracking ID
Step 8 : Now go to Blogger >> Click on Settings >> Click on Other Tab >> Now paste the Tracking ID in the Analytics Web Property ID box.
