How To Download Your E-Aadhaar Letter Online

Aadhaar is a very important document (id); as Government will use Aadhaar Numbers to provide many welfare services to the Residents of India. Every Indian is entitled to have it. To get a Aadhaar Number you have to enroll yourself by visiting the nearest enrollment center with the required documents. Most of the Indians already enrolled themselves. After enrollment you will be given an enrollment receipt, later you can check your Aadhaar status by using the same receipt. You will receive your Aadhaar letter at the address provide by you at the time of enrollment.

Some of the Aadhaar card letters got misplaced or lost while reaching you. But their is an alternative, you can download the "E-aadhaar" letter online. So, if you haven't received your Aadhaar Letter, you can download it online by following the below procedure.

Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt or Acknowledgement Slip

Regular Layout

Step 1 :  Open your Web Browser and go to http://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/eDetails.aspx

Step 2 : Now fill the details as per your Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt or Acknowledgement Slip.

"Enrollment No." - ( 0123 / 45612 / 34567 ) &
"Date & Time"- ( DD / MM / YYYY HH:MM:SS )
"Resident Name"- Your full name as printed on Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt
"Pincode"- Your area pin code (110001, 220024 etc.)
"Enter The Text Shown"- Enter the keywords shown in the Captcha

And now click on Submit.

Step 3 : Now it will ask for Mobile No. - Enter your current 10 digit mobile number and click on Submit.

Step 4 : Now you will receive an SMS on your provided mobile number stating "Your high security password for download e-aadhaar letter is : 123456"

Enter the password in the box OTP No. and click on Submit.

Step 5 : You are ready, Click on "Download your e-Aadhaar"

You may get a warning stating that "This type of file can harm your computer. Do you want to keep eaadhaarletter...pdf anyway?
If asked click on Keep.

Step 1 :  Open your Web Browser (Chrome, IE, Opera or Firefox) and go to http://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in


Step 2 : Now fill the details as per your Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt or Acknowledgement Slip.

"Enrolment Number/Aadhaar Number" - ( 0123 / 45612 / 34567 ) ( DD / MM / YYYY HH:MM:SS )

"Full Name"- Your full name as printed on Aadhaar Enrollment Receipt

"Pin Code"- Your area pin code (110001, 220024 etc.)

"Enter above Image Text "- Enter the keywords shown in the Captcha just above

"Mobile number"- Enter your current 10 digit mobile number and click on Get One Time Password.

Now you will receive an SMS on provided mobile number stating "e-Aadhaar: Your One Time Password is 123456"


Step 3 : Enter OTP Received and click on Validate and Download. Your e-Aadhaar Letter will be downloaded in few seconds.

How to open/view your e-Aadhaar Letter

While opening your E-Aadhaar letter you will be asked to Enter Password, Enter your area Pin Code and click on OK.

Enter your area Pin Code in the Enter Password Field

Note:- You can download e-Aadhaar only if your Aadhaar has been generated.
